Yesterday I received an internet communication from Barry Kort regarding his wetlands suit.

I am writing as long time member of the Nature Conservancy, a past director of our local Westchester Land Trust, and as an individual who believes that the rights of other individuals are the sacred foundation of our Democracy.

If the article in the Boston Globe fairly represents Dr Kort's suit, he's to be commended for bringing an unfortunate situation to light rather than evicted from his condominium.

Wetlands legislation is enacted to protect both the local community and the earth as a whole. Ignoring wetlands regulation imperils us all and shouldn't be tolerated.
